Where to Spend New Year This Year?

Have you got your plans ready for where to spend the New Year? Drinks, check! Outfit, check! Location… Maybe celebrating the New Year with the rest of the crowd in London isn’t your style. So why not experience a New Year abroad?
Here’s a list of our favourites places:
New Years Extravaganza in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
On most nights of the week, Copacabana Beach is one of the liveliest party destinations in the world with people all over Rio who come together to have fun and relax. On New Year’s Eve you can expect all of this and more! For a night filled of fireworks, crazy dancing and mojitos, make sure to book a trip to Rio this New Year.
Tip: Visiting Rio this New Year, be sure to pull out a fresh white shirt or dress. Everyone visiting the beach over 31st December wears white because the colour represents good luck.
Street Party in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Take a trip to Europe’s party capital to experience Amsterdam’s largest party- the Amsterdam street party. Restaurants, bars and clubs fill up with people from around the globe until midnight strikes. Then the crowds emerge to the streets where firework displays light up the night sky.
Race the Clock in Barcelona, Spain.
Barcelona is a hub of excitement on New Year’s Eve. Families and tourists celebrate with meals in the city’s bars and restaurants before congregating in the Plaza de Catalunya where firework displays are the catalyst to the giant street party. Before the party ensues, don’t forget to grab your Nochevieja essentials.
You will need a costume; brightly coloured wigs, masks and face paint, champagne to toast everyone you see and twelve grapes! It might seem odd but the Spanish tradition requires you to pop the twelve grapes (one for each chime of the clock) in your mouth. If successful you will have twelve months of good luck, and if unsuccessful you will have something to laugh about in the new year!
Beach Party in Goa, India
Fancy visiting one of the most outrageous beach parties in the world? For an experience like never before, head over to Goa, India. Witness India’s famous sunrises at the Club Cabana where party lovers can dance and drink beside the calm ocean and palm trees, before a giant firework display to end the night off with a bang!
